Birth : She was a woman with a stubborn mindset to live a spiritual life; she was very religious ; she was born in june 19 1865. And died in 1926 October 1 she lived a peaceful life
She had arranged a marriage and ran away to NZ and sailed to NZ around 1860 she learned
Te reo maori on the trip to NZ
In 1899 Sisters started to work with Wellington's poor and suffering giving them food and a home.
She took 74 babies from Wellington because there was not enough medical supplies. In hiruharama south east of NZ.
Then set up a soup kitchen in 1907 then went to Rome in 1913 then in 1917 pope benedict the 15th grant the decree of praise to the daughters of compassion,the decree changed everything,it protected all the work she had made,it widened her scope for healthcare,work would be for everyone. She then returned home to the island bay to her sisters.
She died in 1926 October 1 in front of her sisters of olde it was widely reported to be the biggest funeral the roofs and streets were packed full of people it was ad but it goes on
She was recognised as a saint or a holy person she is still being recognised as a saint by the priest we will need a miracle to get her .
