How to brush your teeth



Instructions:
  • You are going to write a list of detailed instructions on how to make cereal for breakfast. 
  • You are writing these instructions to someone who has never made their breakfast before. You will need to make sure they are detailed instructions that give step-by-step directions. 
  • Use the example on the class site to help you with setting out instructions. 

Tip - You could try voice typing the instructions. Close your eyes and speak the instructions. E.g. First take a bowl out of the cupboard and place it on the bench.

Materials
Toothbrush, water, toothpaste, basin and a mouth



Instructions
Run the water from the tap for 10 seconds.

Grab toothbrush and put under the water
Grab toothpaste and open lid on toothpaste 
Turn paste upside down and put toothbrush underneath 
Squeeze the toothpaste out onto brush
Push the lid down on toothpaste and put it down.
Grab the tooth brush then put gently into mouth and brush for two minutes.
Spit the paste into basin
Wash toothbrush under the tap
Put toothbrush into toothbrush holder
Turn off tap

    Great job on posting your instructions to your blog. I like how you have shown the success criteria as well so we can see that you have assessed your own work.

    You have used some great imperative verbs and time connectives but I can't see any adverbs. Do you think you could add some in? Remember an adverb tells you how to do the verb e.g. carefully turn or gently squeeze.
